With #PORTCULTURE you may notice “be the creative change you wish to see” here and there on our sites and pages. You might be familiar with this phrase in a way already. If you want to see anything change or come about, you have to be the spark to that.
We want art gatherings and experiences in a way that’s interactive and more of a lifestyle than anything else. We are by artist for artist and will remain this way the entirety of the project. The goal of The Art Renaissance is to affect an area and change or influence it creatively. In a way that benefits the artist to create an opportunity to profit from our network and who we reach out to.
It’s done through organized art gatherings in the form of curated music showcases and art shows. We host TALENT TUESDAYS with EIFFEL SOCIETY and organize pop-up visual art shows called MAGIC BOX with The Rook Cafe currently. Atop of these we always make room for a market for grassroots brands, visual artists who have prints and art to sell etc. We highly encourage the support and cross breeding of projects and brands. That’s essentially what we are. This is all done entirely D.I.Y. with our partners and collective.
This project has been casting a pretty huge net into the artist community since it’s infancy in 2015.
We have to say it’s come a long way.
Thank you for taking the time to read this if you are viewing our site, join us for the MARDI GRAS LTD. SHOWCASE at EIFFEL SOCIETY on Tuesday and see what it’s all about.
We will be curating a space for grassroots brands and start-ups at a majority of our art gatherings. We want to promote the start of early brands and provide opportunity for networking and commerce. If this is something you, or a friend are building we would love to hear from you.

Sometimes you just have to release some stress and sing along with your homies. Jawuan Ford is peeking and taking the rap world by surprise. We highly suggest you give his music a listen and maybe a follow here and there.

Last night we shared another accomplishment together. Last night we celebrated the second kick-off for The Arts Renaissance – New Talent Tuesday. The Arts Renaissance is a six month collaboration within the arts community of New Orleans and surrounding cities of the third coast that aims to build artistic value with curated performances and art gatherings. We have been planning unique experiences for our friends and family to be apart of that promote the growth of beat makers, hip-hop artists, live bands as well as brands and visual artists.
During the fall of last year we began building a partnership with EIFFEL SOCIETY to cater to the vast emerging arts community and provide an outlet for new fans, friends, and philanthropists to enjoy this experience in a new setting. Our initial model of the program was founded to connect creators to new fans or lovers of this life style in an inclusive and inviting atmosphere.
All of our New Talent events will take place at EIFFEL SOCIETY. The structural masterpiece adorns the street St. Charles right outside of the CBD of New Orleans. The building itself was shipped over from parts of a restaurant that rested atop of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France.
We have a lot planned in the works for the revival of pure artistic culture. By artists for artists is our foundation. Collaboration is our fuel. PORTCULTURE is a collective that spans the third coast. Our recent progress in New Orleans has built a large list of other creatives who firmly support this initiative in the way we are presenting it as. This has really impacted the structure of our project and we plan to grow with our partners together through out this six month process.

We want to invite you to our upcoming gatherings, so please connect with us via email sign up or on social media.

Hello friends! Really thrilled to be announcing the second #MAGICBOXNOLA art show.
MAGIC BOX is an art show fit to host emerging non traditional visual artists each with their own unique styles. Some of the artists on MAGIC BOX develop work that will leave you deep in thought pondering what cryptic message is actually trying to be relayed. We invite you to take part in uncovering the mystery on January Friday the 13th. Don’t worry, it wouldn’t be too spooky to come out to this on the first Friday the 13th of the new year. A few artists will have some doodles you might consider getting tattooed on you! check it out!
MAGIC BOX 2 will feature pop up shops from local brands and pizza from one of our favorite local spots no other than G’s Pizza of course!
3 ARTISTS:
OTTO SPLOTCH
DOMINIC FROST
BEN GUIDRY
The reception is on Friday the 13th at 6PM sharp.
This event is ALL AGES and FREE.
Please share and invite friends to be consumed with local art.

Hello friends. We are taking an action to effectively promote the support of grass roots brands and creators. We believe that to make the change we must bring up the creators who are just like us, and just like the artists who sweat and bleed over their creations. Late December and for the first three months of 2017, we have made a few partnerships with local venues and organizations to build raw talent. One of our three part projects is aiming to support local brands (patches / pins), visual artists, designers, toy collectors/designers, comic/zine makers, vinyl collectors and any sort of small business commerce. We are taking initiative in New Orleans, Louisiana.
If you or a friend are interested in participating with us on this part of our restoration to the arts, please email us with the subject title: ART COMMERCE and we will discuss any details with you.
Table space is FREE. There will be a limit to how many appear at the showcases so we can rotate those who are interested. We will do our best to make them monthly.
Please mail to: art@portculture.org
Any questions mail to: info@portculture.org
After you email us, we will notify you with the date so you can surprise your friends.
Thank you for your time, remain pure.

We have met so many talented musicians and artists and have helped them in various ways enhancing their vision and career. Instilling confidence in our team and building a community of creators and visionaries means the most to us. We help find identity. The forming of this collective was to combine our strengths as well as weakness to mold ourselves into the greatest versions.
thank you–

A personal message sourced from the great Neji Vibez himself!
” I would like to present the first commercial for my upcoming audio project “GRA!L”. The visuals were shot and edited by my homie Elijah LeNoir. He did a really great job! It’s been an extremely long and tiring process working on this project, but everything is coming to a close now and i’m gearing up to release it soon. This project is a culmination of my experiences over the past year and a half recorded over 15 tracks. I hope you guys enjoy this teaser for the time being though. PLEASE feel free to like, share, and repost it. Peace love and respect. Always. – NEJI VIBEZ ✌🐼 #GRAILcomingsoon ”
